Accessibility Statement

Rivershire RV Resort & Camping is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We work to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards and continue to improve over time.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Features We’ve Implemented

  • Semantic HTML with proper landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) so screen readers can navigate the page structure.
  • “Skip to main content” link for keyboard users, available as the first focusable element on every page.
  • Keyboard-operable navigation, including dropdown menus and the mobile menu, with visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
  • Alternative text on all meaningful images. Decorative images are properly hidden from assistive technology.
  • Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG AA standards for text and interactive elements.
  • Form labels and error messages are programmatically associated with their inputs and announced to screen readers.
  • Responsive design that adapts to mobile devices, screen readers, and assistive technologies including screen magnifiers.
  • Respect for reduced motion — animations automatically disable for users who have set theprefers-reduced-motionpreference.

Known Limitations

We work with third-party services for booking, chat, and embedded content. These services may not always meet the same accessibility standards as the rest of our site. Known examples:

  • RoverPass booking system — our reservation provider. Booking can also be completed by phone at (580) 716-0788.
  • AI chat widget (Ripple) — for users who experience issues with the chat interface, all the same information is available by phone, email, or on the FAQs page.

Reporting an Issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on our website, please let us know. We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within two business days.

Assessment Approach

This website is assessed using a combination of automated tools (Google Lighthouse), manual keyboard and screen-reader testing, and ongoing code reviews. Our goal is full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance.
